Getting around Spanish airports (A2)

  • I would like a window seat = Prefiero un asiento al lado de la ventanilla.
  • I would like an asile seat, please = Prefiero un asiento de pasillo, por favor.
  • How long will the flight be delayed? = ¿Cuánto tiempo se retrasará el vuelo?
  • Which is the gate for the flight to Madrid? = ¿Cuál es la puerta de embarque para el vuelo a Madrid?
  • Are there any buses to the airport? = ¿Hay autobuses para el aeropuerto?
  • Is it a non-stop flight? (with no layovers) = ¿Es un vuelo directo? (sin escalas)
  • When is there a flight to Barcelona? = ¿Cuándo hay un vuelo a Barcelona?

  • How much is a one way ticket to Bilbao? = ¿Cuánto cuesta un billete de ida a Bilbao?

Some useful vocabulary:

  • Arrivals = Llegadas
  • Departures = Salidas
  • To take off = Despegar
  • To land = Aterrizar
  • To board = Embarcar
  • Passport = Pasaporte
  • Flight attendant = Auxiliar de vuelo (también se puede decir azafato/a)
  • Boarding pass = Tarjeta de embarque
  • Carry-on luggage/baggage = Equipaje de mano
  • Check-in desk = Mostrador de facturación
  • Checked luggage/baggage = Equipaje facturado
  • Customs = Aduana
  • Duty free stores = Tiendas libres de impuestos
  • Layover/Stopover = Escala
  • One-way ticket = Billete de ida
  • Round trip ticket = Billete de ida y vuelta
  • Shuttle = Puente Aéreo
